Te Mata Wānanga was a closely fought contest this year but Te Puna Mātauranga once again prevailed.

Te Puna Mātauranga won the Rewi Panapa Memorial Trophy taking the overall kapa haka prize for the fourth consecutive time.

The addition of sports and pastimes added another dimension to this year’s Te Mata Wānanga with healthy yet friendly competition.

Te Waenga were the clear winners in the sports category winning five of the 10 sporting categories.

Very shortly, kaimahi will receive a survey about your experiences at Te Mata Wānanga. Could you please take some time to complete the survey when you receive this.
